The future of microtechnology is green in Japan, too - more than 300 industry representatives attend IVAM forum in Tokyo
The third German-Japanese Micro/Nano Business Forum at the Exhibition Micromachine last Thursday in Tokyo attracted more than 300 Japanese industry representatives. With their keynote presentations, Prof. Esashi of Tohoku University and Prof. Gessner of the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS provided an excellent overview of current research activities in micro- and nanosystems technology.

German micro- and nanotechnology industry sees economic trend reversed
After the years of the economic crisis, 2008 and 2009, the microtechnology, nanotechnology and advanced materials industries in Germany are now confirming a reversal of the economic trend. More than half of the companies say that business in the first half of 2010 fared better than expected. The companies are positive about the second half of the year and look forward to the year 2011. More than 100 company representatives have expressed their current mood in a survey conducted by the IVAM Microtechnology Network.

IVAM Research presents new survey on micro- and nanotechnology in Germany to the international community
Micro- and nanotechnology companies in Germany are successful players on global markets. IVAM Research has now compiled the activities in these areas in Germany in a comprehensive survey. The “Micro/Nano Atlas of Germany“ has first been presented to the public during the annual summit of the international microtechnology community, the Micromachine Summit 2010, which took place in Dortmund at the end of April.
